主题:创新方法:从学术到业界Ways of Innovation from Academia to Industry

In this presentation, we'll explore various avenues of innovation by examining the creation of different ideas and formulation of diverse concepts into concrete projects from the past. By reevaluating the processes behind these idea formations, we'll delve into the distinctions between academic and industrial innovation. Lastly, we'll provide valuable insights and recommendations for fostering creative ideation.

主讲人介绍:CHEN SUN received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2005. From August 2004 to May 2008, he was a researcher at ATR Wave Engineering Laboratories, Japan working on adaptive beamforming and direction finding algorithms of parasitic array antennas as well as theoretical analysis of cooperative wireless networks. In June 2008, he joined the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Japan, as expert researcher working on distributed sensing and dynamic spectrum access in TV white space. Since then he has been contributing to IEEE 1900.6 standard, IEEE 802.11af standard and Wi-Fi Alliance specifications for Wi-Fi networks in TV white space. He is currently the deputy head of Beijing Lab at Sony R&D Center. He received the IEEE Standards Association IEEE 1900.6 Working Group Chair Award for leadership in 2011, the IEEE 802.11af Outstanding Contributions Award in 2014, and the IEEE 802.19.1 Outstanding Contributions Award in 2018. He is the author of Handbook on Advancements in Smart Antenna Technologies for Wireless Networks. He is also the first inventor of 30 US granted patents, 16 EU granted patents, 20 granted Chinese patents, and 13 granted Japanese patents, including 9 patents that are worth more than 4 millions. His research interests include smart antennas, cognitive radio, V2X, federated learning and AI in wireless networks.
